Erasmus For Young Entrepreneurs

Microcosmo has been participating in the Young Entrepreneurship program since May 2023. This is a European exchange program that offers new and aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn from more experienced entrepreneurs.

Why does Microcosmo participate in this programme?

We would like to support young entrepreneurs in their professional growth and to transfer our knowledge and skills to a new generation of agricultural entrepreneurs who are conscious about social and environmental values of agriculture.

We are looking for motivated, cooperative, proactive, hard-working and open-minded people interested in having an experience on our farm, Young Entrepreneurs with a strong motivation to learn and become organic farmers.

Social farming activities are increasing on the farm. In particular, we host internships for vulnerable people and would like to share this social impact business experience with Young Entrepreneurs. Therefore, the interest in social farming is highly appreciated.

Who are we looking for?

Who can apply?

Aspiring or new entrepreneurs (with less than 3 years of experience in running their own business). 

If you only intend to start your own business in organic and social farming, you are welcome to apply!

What Young Entrepreneurs could learn?

Agricultural tasks

Sowing in containers and in soil, transplanting, watering / irrigation and fertilization, treatments (with products allowed in organic agriculture and/or self-prepared), green pruning and topping, composting, preparation of flower beds with mulching and – where necessary with – supports, collection/washing/packaging, maintenance of equipment and materials, reorganization of company spaces, annual crops planning

Social farming

Hosting and working with vulnerable people, people with disabilities and disadvantaged background

Sales

Mainly direct sales, sales to ethical purchasing groups (Gruppi di acquisto solidale - G.A.S), organic products’ shops and local restaurants

Communication and social media

Website and social media (Instagram, Facebook) management

Administrative tasks

Invoicing and preparation of documents required for organic certification
